1: Overview of efiling in State and Federal courts in California
This course covers the current state of efiling in California, which courts are in pilot programs, which are using the state recommended software platform and which are independent, if vendors are required or not, payment of fees and how CCMS will affect the system.
2: Detail on USDC Central District new court rules
USDC Central has a 32 page court General Order laying out the parameters for efiling. This course covers the highlights of those court rules, how do you acquire a sign-on and password, file size requirements, email notifications, proposed orders, confidential information and screen shots of their efiling web site.
3: Comparison of the four USDC’s in California and their efiling differences
Federal Courts in California all require efiling. This course compares the differences between the four systems, how to acquire a sign-on and password, file size requirements, proposed orders and courtesy copies.
4: Discovery and the Subpoena Process in State Court
This course covers the different types of subpoenas, noticing requirements, timelines for notice and service on custodian, witness fees and deposition officer.
